Kingma 拥有阿姆斯特丹大学的机器学习博士学位，曾在 Google 担任博士后研究员，并在 OpenAI 担任过研究科学家，专注于基础研究和生成式 AI 模型的开发。
2018 年，Kingma 转型为兼职天使投资人和 AI 初创企业顾问，并于当年7月重新加入 Google，之后参与了 Google Brain 和 DeepMind 的整合工作。
