近年来，美国各地频繁发生“门廊盗贼”偷取FedEx递送的AT&T iPhone的事件。这些盗窃发生在包裹送达后的几分钟内，盗贼通过跟踪号码快速找到目标。
调查员指出，AT&T包裹的一个弱点是通常不需要签名确认收货。警方显示，盗贼在取走包裹时，有时甚至与FedEx送货员擦肩而过。
疫情以来，因上班族白天不在家，导致包裹盗窃事件上升。
AT&T和FedEx表示正与执法部门合作进行调查，未透露被盗包裹的数量。
