弗吉尼亚州警方表示，周三晚间，警员在I-95高速公路上追捕一名驾驶被劫车辆的嫌疑犯，该车辆在追逐过程中发生翻覆。嫌疑犯拒绝停车，最终被迫停靠在150号里程标附近，因其“多次做出突然的可疑动作”，警方开枪将其击毙。
事件造成部分I-95南行道路封闭，并导致严重交通滞留。
嫌疑车内一名乘客被警方送往医院，情况稳定，正等待手术，另有一名乘客被拘留。
参与射击的四名警员已被安排行政休假，正在接受调查。
