今年7月，首批Thunderbolt 5线缆问世，现在Kensington宣布其认证的SD5000T5 EQ扩展坞也已正式上市。这款扩展坞声称能够支持最多三台4K显示器或两台8K显示器，Windows系统支持速度可达120Gbps。
尽管目前只有少数电脑拥有Thunderbolt 5接口，但Kensington扩展坞还提供140W的USB-C PD充电功能，适用于支持的笔记本电脑。
Kensington扩展坞的价格为400刀，预计本月底发货。
OWC的Envoy Ultra也开启了预定，声称传输速度可达6000MB/sec，售价为400刀（2TB）或600刀（4TB），预计在10月下旬发布。
