周五晚上合并到Linux 6.10内核中的新mseal()系统调用由谷歌Chrome团队的Jeff Xu领导。
目标是保护内存映射本身免受修改。
mseal Linux文档解释了现代CPU支持的内存权限，通过X位来提高内存腐败错误的安全性，mseal还可以保护映射本身免受修改，可用于减轻内存腐败问题，mseal系统调用可由GNU C库“glibc”等加载ELF可执行文件时使用，以封闭不可写内存段，也可供谷歌Chrome浏览器等浏览器用于保护安全敏感数据结构。
技术的进步为保护数据安全提供了新的解决方案，值得关注和探索。
