Google旗下Mandiant报告指出，网络勒索已演变成对受害组织的心理攻击，勒索者使用越来越个人化和侵略性的手段来迫使受害者支付赎金，其中包括SIM卡欺诈高管孩子，通过孩子的电话号码打电话给高管，引发了心理困境。
勒索者除了攻击公司、客户和数据外，还直接联系高管、家庭成员，并对其家庭成员进行SIM卡交换。
这些犯罪行径不再仅仅针对公司，而是更多针对个人，进一步增加了是否支付赎金的考量。
