美国空军将AI置于驾驶座。国防高级研究项目局（DARPA）周四更新称，一架AI控制的喷气机在去年进行的空中格斗测试中成功面对了一名人类飞行员。
DARPA自2022年12月开始在其空战演进（ACE）计划中尝试AI应用，开发了一个能够自主驾驶战斗机的AI系统，同时也遵守空军的安全协议。
在使用AI飞行员进行空战模拟后，DARPA通过将AI系统安装在其实验性X-62A飞机上对其进行了测试。
这使得AI控制的飞行器在加州爱德华兹空军基地起飞，在那里它表示于2023年9月首次成功进行了对抗人类的空战测试。
