美国联邦贸易委员会（FTC）制定了新规以打击称去年导致人们损失达刀11亿美元的冒充诈骗活动。
规定明确禁止在州际贸易中冒充政府、企业及其官员或代理人，并允许FTC直接提起联邦法院诉讼迫使诈骗者归还通过企业或政府冒充获得的钱款。
受害者包括Linus Media Group、Charlotte Cowles等，他们分别遭受不同类型的冒充骗局。
