新泽西州近日发生多起野火。在干燥气候下，消防员的工作愈发困难。目前，该州至少已有四处野火蔓延，从费城郊区到皮内兰地区再到纽约市郊区。
最新一处火灾发生在恩格尔伍德悬崖，已控制30%，但未威胁任何住宅。州森林防火服务负责人比尔·唐内利表示，今年的干旱情况严重，十月创下了历史记录。贝瑟尼跑野火在伯灵顿和卡姆登县交界处发生，已控制75%，对104栋建筑构成威胁。
火势仍在继续，但幸好未威胁建筑物。国家气象局发出红旗警告，指干旱条件和强风可能引发更快速的火势蔓延。
新泽西州已超过一个月未有降雨，未来几天预报有雨，或将帮助控制这些野火。四处野火的具体起因仍在调查中。
