多伦多的一处公共住房在两年前因天花板坍塌而被迫撤离的居民，或将迎来重建的希望。根据多伦多社区住房公司提交的报告，Swansea Mews可能会重新建设，增加550到700个新单元，取代现有的154个公共住房单位。
此项目目前还在等待相关审批，重建预计需要数年时间。市议员Gord Perks表示，城市正在积极推动这一项目，但之前的市长对公共住房的关注度不足。
而居民Jardel Sallay-Ferreria希望能参与决策，保持与旧社区的联系。
TCHC承诺将在计划批准后于2025年启动社区参与过程。
