《最终幻想16》的制作人吉田直树在游戏PC版发布前夕呼吁粉丝，不要制作“冒犯或不当”的模组。
尽管他没有具体说明希望看到的模组类型，但他明确表示不欢迎任何不适当内容。
吉田提到，模组本可以极大丰富游戏体验，但网络上存在很多让人反感的内容。
