美国汽车工人工会威胁称，如果周五之前的合同谈判没有取得重大进展，他们将扩大罢工压力。UAW主席肖恩·费恩在周一晚间的视频声明中表示，更多工厂的工人将加入现已进入第五天的三个工厂的罢工行列。
如果谈判中没有“实质性进展”，则在周五正午东部时间之前，罢工将升级。工会计划在当天早上向会员公布新罢工的地点。
当劳资矛盾激化，工人罢工的威力不容小觑。
