烂蕃茄和Fandango开始推出一项新的“验票热度”评分，针对那些实际上购买了正在评价电影票的用户。烂蕃茄的代表告诉IndieWire，这一称号仅赋予那些在用户评分中获得超过90%的影院电影。
烂蕃茄还扩展了其Popcornmeter的评定标准。任何获得60%以上观众评分高达3.5星或更高的影片将被标记为“热门”，而低于60%的影片现在被称为“陈旧。
此外，烂蕃茄还对Tomatometer和Popcornmeter进行了一些调整，需要满足一定数量的评论才能显示评分。
未来也将与其他合作伙伴合作，以便那些没有使用Fandango购票的人也可以被认证验证。
看电影评分时可能要多留意那些被认证过购票的观众，不一定所有的评分都是真实的。
