根据联合国的新报告，预计到2080年代中期，全球人口将增长至约103亿人，超过目前的82亿人。
到本世纪末（2100年），预计的全球人口比十年前的估算少了6%。
然而，计算未来人口数量并非完全准确，美国人口普查局表示在估算全球人口时有很多不确定因素。
根据联合国的时间表，去年九月全球人口达到了80亿人。
未来人口的增长趋势令人担忧，如何平衡资源与人口之间的关系是一个全球性难题。
