据《The Register》报道，本月Mozilla公司在美国遭到起诉，指控公司及三名高管对首席产品官Steve Teixeira涉嫌残疾歧视和报复。Teixeira于2023年10月3日被诊断患有眼部黑色素瘤，随后于2023年10月30日至2024年2月1日请病假接受癌症治疗。
起诉书称，Mozilla在Teixeira回归后立即试图降职或解雇他，以毫无根据的担忧和假设评估他作为一名患癌症的个人的能力。
起诉还指控Mozilla不愿容忍患癌症的高管。
Mozilla发言人声明将坚决辩护并相信事实将证明公司的合理行为。
从未让疾病成为职场界限，对待癌症患者应该是尊重和支持，而非歧视和解雇。
