NASA已批准进一步资助研究，计划在月球上建造一列磁悬浮机器人列车，名为“FLOAT”项目。
根据NASA的设计，FLOAT将由磁性机器人磁悬浮在三层膜轨道上，以减少月球表面灰尘对磨损的影响，每天可运输约100吨材料。
在2030年代建立一个可持续的月球基地，科技创新如磁悬浮机器人列车或许是实现这一目标的关键。
