据警方称，上个月底在多伦多一所监狱遭袭击的男子已经去世。多伦多警方表示，31岁的易卜拉欣·阿里在4月21日在多伦多南部拘留中心被一名狱友袭击，并被送往医院，情况危急。
警方在周三的新闻发布会上表示，阿里在医院中因伤势不治去世。
一名27岁的多伦多男子被控企图谋杀，但警方表示这一指控有望在他的下次出庭时升级为一级谋杀。
