一名男子被指控于近三年前谋杀多伦多警员，陪审团选拔预计今日展开。Umar Zameer 被控一级谋杀罪，这名男子负责警官 Jeffrey Northrup 之死。
Northrup，55 岁，在 2021 年 7 月 2 日因应对多伦多市政厅停车场抢劫报案时被车撞击身亡。另一名便衣警官也受伤。
Northrup 是多伦多警务局 31 年资深警员。Zameer 在 2021 年秋季获得保释，但法院的裁决理由和证据均受标准发布禁令规定保护。
