一项于1月5日提起的集体诉讼声称，惠普利用其“Dynamic Security”固件更新来建立替代打印机墨水的垄断地位。
此诉讼是又一起针对惠普的诉讼，指控惠普破坏了使用非惠普标志的墨水时打印机的功能。
该诉讼在美国伊利诺伊州北区联邦地方法院提起，指定了11名原告，并要求法院下令禁止惠普禁用打印机固件更新以阻止非惠普品牌墨水的使用。
此外，诉讼还要求惠普支付超过500万美元的赔偿金，并要求陪审团审理。
